Other Recommendations: Popularity and increased acceptance of any issue or idea does not make it shariah-compliant; hence, this cannot be made an excuse for the currently operational Islamic banking system. To eliminate interest based loans, and to assist people, increased opportunities for “qarz-e-hasana” must be created. In Islamic educational institutes, efforts must be made to teach banking and economic issues. To create awareness amongst the masses, workshops highlighting the benefits and specialties of Islamic banking should be organized. A special request goes out to our respected Islamic scholars as well – they should conduct a stringent and detailed analysis and research on the current economic system, and then deliver a fatwa based on mutual consensus to solve this under discussion issue. Our demand for the state bank is to implement a system in which the Shariah advisor is no longer a servant of the Islamic bank.
