Recommendations delivered by Ahle-hadith scholars on the establishment of a genuinely “shariah-compliant” system of Islamic banking.

“AL-MADINA ISLAMIC RESEARCH CENTRE” recently organized a unique seminar entitled “Islamic banking - judged on the scale of the sharia”; this trendsetting event had multiple purposes; firstly to analyze the Islamic aspects of the constantly evolving modern day economies, trading activities and agreements as a result of living in a global village. Secondly to educate the masses on the sharia/Islamic perspective regarding contemporary economic issues especially the Islamic standing on the principles of murabiha, musharika and mudaraba in reference to Islamic banking. Thirdly to present sharia compliant alternatives to these economic and financial issues and highlight practical solutions to align the national economy with the principles of Islamic sharia.

Highly well-known and qualified Islamic scholars and economic experts from all over the country attended this seminar and delivered their research based lectures on the related topics of this discussion. A vast number of scholars, Islamic banking related individuals, investors, students and professors of various prestigious educational institutes were also present on the occasion.
